OH oh oh Oh oh! They did come back. A few of them were here last summer or the summer before. It wasn't as crazy as 2000, but it was still a lot o fun. Here's a web page where you can check out the Tall Ships Challenges (see the left sidebar) http://tallships.sailtraining.org/

D'oh! I was thinking Charlottetown! (Can you see how I'd get the two mixed up so easily :)

The whole weekend was amazing - I want to know when they're coming back so I can book my room with the relatives now!

Hey Rebecca - I loved tall ships! On the day they sailed out of the harbour, my husband and I hopped on the ferry and were alongside the Concordia (? I think) when it unfurled its sails. It was beautiful.

Do you remember how it felt like you were walking around in the 1800s whenever you were on the waterfront because of all the masts and sails and sailors? I had the best time that week too!

(Oh and I thought you might want to make a teensy correction to the distance between Halifax and Monkey-town - it's about 2.5 hours... well, then again, if they were travelling back and forth between the two cities, they would have been driving 5 hours total in a day).
