Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyways

Okay, before I forget, here’s what I

Me, sort of bundled up for the cold

did today (so far): put the Christmas lights up on my balcony.

More Christmas lights on my balcony

Christmas lights on my balcony

They’re supposed to be cascading icicle lights, but they haven’t “relaxed” properly, and they tend to bunch up.

Close up of the lights

This afternoon: gingerbread cookies. Maybe. Definitely chili*

* If my mother remembers to send me her recipe. Hint hint.

I feel obliged to mention that at 1:01 p.m. this afternoon, I was asleep on the couch with the dog curled up beside me. Things I had accomplished by that point in the day: gotten up at 11:30, went to bathroom, took nailpolish off my toes, fed the dog (which he didn’t eat till about 7:00 this evening), then promptly fell back asleep by 11:45 on aforementioned couch. ‘Twas a good morning. (I also feel obliged to point out that it is now 12:58 a.m. early Monday morning and why I am still up may be directly linked to the events (or lack thereof) of this morning/afternoon.

I suppose it’s not going to make you feel any better to let you know that I did indeed make gingerbread. And chili. And wash the dishes. And do a couple of book reviews and another blog post. No, I guess not ;)
