Festivus Interuptus December 4, 2005
Okay, before I forget, here’s what I
did today (so far): put the Christmas lights up on my balcony.
They’re supposed to be cascading icicle lights, but they haven’t “relaxed” properly, and they tend to bunch up.
This afternoon: gingerbread cookies. Maybe. Definitely chili*
* If my mother remembers to send me her recipe. Hint hint.

I feel obliged to mention that at 1:01 p.m. this afternoon, I was asleep on the couch with the dog curled up beside me. Things I had accomplished by that point in the day: gotten up at 11:30, went to bathroom, took nailpolish off my toes, fed the dog (which he didn’t eat till about 7:00 this evening), then promptly fell back asleep by 11:45 on aforementioned couch. ‘Twas a good morning. (I also feel obliged to point out that it is now 12:58 a.m. early Monday morning and why I am still up may be directly linked to the events (or lack thereof) of this morning/afternoon.
I suppose it’s not going to make you feel any better to let you know that I did indeed make gingerbread. And chili. And wash the dishes. And do a couple of book reviews and another blog post. No, I guess not
