What I did this weekend:
Worked.
Cleaned my bathroom.
FINALLY packed up and put away my summer clothes.
Tidied off my desk.
Washed the dishes five or six times. (And yet, there’s still more. Why?)
Put up Christmas lights.
Bought a snow shovel.
Did groceries.
Got an extension cord for the Chinese laterns which have been hanging in my kitchen for over a week.
Watched:
- the first six episodes of season 1 of Doctor Who
- the first four episodes of season 1 of Veronica Mars
- the unaired pilot for the Aquaman show which didn’t get picked up by the CW network (my review: cheesy, but lead actor was definite eye-candy)
- Battlestar Galactica. The. Best. Episode. Ever!
Knit like the wind. Or at least what passes for the wind in my case.
What I didn’t do this weekend.
Sweep.
Dust the stairs.
Laundry (d’oh! I was going to do that tonight and forgot!)
Excerpts. I’m working on that tonight.
There were other things, but I’ve forgotten them. Quel surprise.
Things here were almost as exciting this weekend. I battled cold sores and leg rashes (ugh), and took the day off yesterday (Monday) so that I could spend it cramming for the Japanese language test that is due at the end of this week for the correspondence course I am taking. I also did some laundry (but it has to dry outside on my balcony and so takes a minimum of two days to dry). Dishes remain largely untackled, and let’s not mention the much-needed sweeping, dusting, and bathroom-cleaning. Like, ever.
Oh yeah. Almost forgot. I also went to Tokyo. (As you might say, “Woot!”) teehee
“Ephemera”
Awesome word.
Did you move closer to me?
Is this your first time watching Veronica Mars? That show is just wicked front to back.
Julie - Tokyo? Nice! When you get back, we’ll have an exciting weekend where we sit around and talk about what we would do were we ambitious people.
Jorge - Not really. Maybe a half hour closer? And if you see the pegs for my stupid bookcase while you’re unpacking, I promise I’ll look around here and see what I have of yours around here.
Dave - I have locked myself in my house and am working my way through season 1. It kicks several kinds of ass.
Didn’t one of America’s Top Model contestants once win a spot on Veronica Mars?
Not that I ever watched ATM, of course. This is just the word on the street.
I FOUND MY PEGS.
And no, they are not your pegs rebranded.
