The first rule of running class is…
…tell all your friends you’re taking a running class so that they can ooh and ahh and tell you how great you look after just two classes [1] and then tell you how you are now officially an inspiration to them to go out and start to get in shape.
(Of course, it really helps to have friends like mine, who will say just about anything if it means I’ll buy them coffee
[1] So far, in the first week, we’ve completed run 1 (minute) walk 2 (minutes) both days. Next week, we’re up to run 2, walk 2.
Way to go Rebecca! I started with that just over a year ago, and I’m on track for a half-marathon in May. You can do it!
Oh, Rebecca! You look great! You are an inspiration!
I like my coffee black with sweetener, please
Oh thank goodness you’re alive! I thought aliens abducted you! Or maybe they did, and are experimenting on you by giving you the will to run… /backs away slowly
I’ve been thinking of joining one of the groups from the Running Room. I was doing ok on my own last fall, but haven’t gotten back into it once the snow cleared.
One other thing – it’s way more fun at the back of the pack than at the front. Those fast people are running way too hard to seriously discuss the latest episode of whatever tv show it is you like to watch.
Beth: I hope the coffee doesn’t get cold before Canada Post delivers it
Pender: I am using my new found mind powers to send you a message… are you receiving it?
Jen: DO IT!
Lisa:
I am receiving you! It feels like I’m being kicked in the brain!
